Participants

You are eligible to participate in the TAH program if you meet all of the qualifications:

· Teach in Crook, Deschutes, Harney and Jefferson Counties

· Teach U.S. History, Oregon History, or are part of a team of US History or Oregon History teachers

· Teach 4th through 12th grade (exceptions may be granted for elementary teachers who teach younger students. Contact Project Director.)

· Teach half time or more (no substitutes, no instructional assistants, no student teachers)

Compensation

Each teacher will receive a stipend totaling $1,000 at the end of the project

Research Study

The TAH project is funded by the US Department of Education. This agency requires the project to have a research study. As a participant in the quasi-experimental research study, teachers will complete professional development surveys regarding the quality of the professional development, teacher surveys regarding the grant objectives, and three historical content assessments.

Application Procedure

If you wish to apply, you need to turn in the TAH Participant Application Form as well as the Participant Memorandum of Understanding. Once your application has been accepted, you will need to send in the Principal MOU.
